Ask God for Wisdom, before asking him to meet your needs.

Life around you can look desirable and it can lead you to want things that you may not even need just because your eyes are satisfied. But throughout the bible it teaches us of the importance of seeking and using wisdom before acting. It also teaches us to learn to “Grow in Patience” and to “Wait” on God. (for our season to come)…God has got plenty of wisdom to go around. In fact he loves to give.

Therefore never doubt or question Him when things don’t happen when you want them to or how you want things to happen. God loves us so much that he gives us what we “Need” (when we need it) and not always what we “want it”…why? Because sometimes what you want, may not be what you need, as He knows it will either end up harming you or it may even take your eyes off Him and shift them more onto your desires and wants rather than the gospel.

In James 1:5 it says  “If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.”

This is one out of many reminders of how important it is to seek wisdom in any decision you make (purchase, change or want…) and to always ask yourself, is this a need or a want?

Once you have come to God with a humble heart and prayer, ask Him for Wisdom to show you whether what you seek is a need or merely a worldly self seeking / satisfying want. In this time let your eyes be opened to God’s will, even if it meants letting go, even if it means accepting your fleshly ways.

Remind yourself that God loves you so he will always want what’s best for you and your life, according to his will and purpose (not your own, Be has a plan, have faith and trust in it)

If you have something in your life that you want so badly, take a moment and be honest with yourself…Be honest enough to accept the truth (is this a want or a need) and if it is God’s will, in HIS timing He will bless you, until then pray for patience until your season comes. Dont look beyond your own life for validation or to be satisfied look to your own, keep yourself grounded and thankful for what and who you have in your life…who knows, maybe that’s exactly what God wants you to learn…
